I was hesitant to buy on line, but reading the previous reviews was so helpful. I don't mind paying for quality, this was excellent quality at a reasonable price. You get your money's worth. I have a new blended family, so my 9 year old son likes the top bunk, and when stepson age 14 is over he pulls out the futon. My son also likes using the "couch" to play video games or just hang out in his room.

This bed is very sturdy, and convenient. The twin bunk on top is not used for sleeping. I use it for storage. It is a bit difficult to put together, and heavy, but I attribute the weight to the sturdiness.

This is perfect for our need. Two older boys, 1 room. It fits great, the drawers are very spacious and worth the extra money, esp if you don't have much storage in the room. Pretty easy to fit together. The product itself looks high quality. I would have put the ladder on the side, it can get in the way if you want the couch up. We are very pleased with this product.

We had to have our 15/16yr old boys share a room for a year while we finish a room in the basement. We needed a bunk bed that looked more mature. I shopped online and in stores and this was the only one that came close to what we wanted and we are not disappointed. It has a rich look about it. It has the futon that easliy folds up or lays as a bed. It looks great in thier room and they don't feel like little kids with it. The biggest problem was buying a futon mattress if you can believe that! Anyway, the bed is great and I highly recommend it. Also we ordered the storage drawers and we are glad we did that too. They are very deep and help with what would have been wasted space. The comment about the stickers is that they have some stickers on the top bunk bed about saftey stuff, but they are a little hard to get off.

Service & Delivery comments:

Overall delivery was fine. They send an email telling you it ships and something that lets you know you need to be there when it arrives, but you have to find the number and call them to arrange it, but it wasn't hard and they were helpful.

Bed: The bed is solid and stable. We picked the natural color and it looks very nice. It is a big bed so make sure you do your measurements before hand. The bunkbed on top is high, so you will have to think of maybe ordering a bunk shelf. We had to remove our ceiling fan assembly.

Assembly: The boxes were marked correctly, came in 4 packages. At one point you will need two people for the job, for heavy pickup of bed. But the assembly was relatively straightforward and took about 2 hours to do.
Once assembled, the only issue we have is that the bed is slightly difficult to move the futon from couch position to futon position.
Our son is in the 9-10 range and loves his bed and I can see him using this bed for quite a few years.

I marked the product as 4 stars due to the difficulty of the movement of the futon.

Service & Delivery comments:

Service: Mercantila was a wonderful company to work with. Although I found it online, I called the customer service number. They were polite and very knowledgeable. They explained everything to me on the process and came through with everything they said they would. It came on time, and we were just missing one small bolt (still able to put bed together just fine).

We were very happy with this purchase, intended to be used in an 8 year old's bedroom. The bed is very solid and sturdy, and movement on the top bunk doesn't cause the whole thing to shake. The bottom futon we intended to be used more occasionally for when we have guests and need the extra bed. It serves this purpose quite well. When not in use, the futon folds up nicely into a couch -- perfect for sitting and doing reading on. The top bunk is sufficiently higher than the couch so that it doesn't feel overly crowded. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase and have talked about getting another and putting into a different child's bedroom. Highly recommended.

Assembly was easy, did it by myself in about and hour and a half, solid not wobbly at all. No complaints at this time. My 7 yr old daughter loves it.

Delivery was longer than expected, took a few weeks before it shipped and 10 days to get it. But was kept well informed about the status well with emails. Only con is not made out of real grain wood, but not particle board either. I still like it though.

The set up of this bed was fairly simple and the quality is fabulous! My 16-year old daughter loves having a couch in her bedroom and is looking forward to having a place for a friend to sleep over. I would highly recommend this bed and may purchase another one for another one of my children.

I love this bunk with futon. When my 3 grandchildren are all down I have plenty of room for them now. When only one comes, she feels like she has her own little apartment because of the futon sofa. There was a little damage on the futon back,(chipped), but it will be covered by the matress and it's not worth sending it back.

I like what I have so far. Cannot really rate it until I have the drawers and a futon mattress to make it 100% functioning. I did put a painted board under the mattress otherwise it is ugly (sheets/blanket comes through the slats) looking up while sitting on the futon.

This is a very nice looking bunk bed. The color is a deeper cherry than what is shown but that could be due to monitor differences. It is roomy yet compact and quite elegant for a bunk bed. Assembly instructions could be a tab bit clearer - but since I wasn't the one putting it together I gave it 5 stars.
