This bed was bought for my son to be able to use for years to come as he is only 6. He likes the bed. I like the bed. I found it easy to put together and it did not take me all that long to do it either. I wish the ladder was not straight up and down, but other than that...have no complaints with it.

I bought this for my 10 year old son. He has been sleeping on it for 2 weeks and he likes it a lot. When his friends come over he has to show them his new bed. It is comfortable, cool looking and a space saver. The desk area is great. The only 2 cons are the ladder part is a little hard on the feet. I bought foam tubes at[...]and fixed that problem. The othr thing is it is a bit inconvienient getting in and out - especially in the middle of the night. Otherwise the bed is great!

We purchased this bed for my seven yr old son for Christmas...he loves it. He uses the desk for Lego building and stores all his Legos under the desk! No more Legos everywhere! The desk is a lot deeper than I thought it would be and has a book shelf above it. It saves tons of space in his room. He also hangs his "Fort" around the rails and makes a clubhouse under the bed. Three or four small children can play in this area. The bed is also very comfortable and the rails are about 5 or 6 inches above our matress. I would not put a child younger than 7 in this bed, it is 80 inches tall. Overall, an excellent option for us...he plays in the desk area for hours.

Overall, I thought the unit was easy to assemble. I liked how the unit was packaged and how the pieces went together based on the picture instructions. When assembling, be sure to recognize the loft bed piece that has a very tiny sticker that says front.

This bed is good for a kid's room and frees up space in the room.

We purchased this full size loft bed for our son's 14th birthday. He had a twin in his room but had grown out of it. Even though we traded his twin for a full size he has sooo much more space in his room. He absolutely loves it. I was a bit worried when I read a review that stated that it was better for younger children, but not to worry; my son who is already 5ft 9in says his feet are finally not touching the end of the bed. Funny thing is, he has always risen with the dawn and since getting this bed he is actually sleeping in.

I am typically a budget shopper, but went with this bed, even though it was bit more than what I wanted to spend. The main reason I did so, was because of the reviews I had read. There is a local bed store & they offered a similar bed at half the price. They only had a picture on their website & no floor model in their store. After reading all of the reviews on this site, I opted for this bed due to the higher quality; you could see the difference in the pictures. The bed is for my 11 year old son; we bought the full for room to grow. It looks big in his room, but it actually makes for more floor space. I would highly recommend this bed.

All I can say is STURDY! Compared to any other kid bed I have purchased this one is not going anywhere. Nice desk underneath and makes just so much more area. Only thing this bed needs is a shelf or place for an alarm clock as it is so high. My 12 year old son and I had no problem putting this bed together...just take your time!

got it for my 13-yr old...moved to another state where basements are few and far between so our SQ Footage avail went down. Got rid of earlier bunk bed (only kid) and got the Full size. Didn't realize how big it was....HIGHLY RECOMMEND Map out the dimensions on the floor before purchasing PLUS it stands (w/Mattress) about 68-70" in height...makes for a cozy fit vs ceiling of room. Watchout for stickers that say FRONT/BACK...it matters with pre-drilled holes...missed it on the mattress rack and had to disassemble partially while holding rest of frame together to swap around...entertaining but frustrating. EVERYTHING else was easy to do. [...]

We were looking for a loft bed for my son's smallish bedroom, and this fit the bill. It was tough to thread some of the bolts, but it's solid. It's tough to make the bed, if you care about that stuff.

This bed was for my 15 yr old son who has a very small room. This bed freed up tons of space for him and gave him a terrific work space as well. The only problem was one of the bolts was very hard to line up and put in all the way. But it eventually did and is awesome!! The whole setup took maybe 2 hours.

This is a handsome bed and a good use of space. I bought for my 9yr old who loves it, and now has much more functional space in his small bedroom.

We bought this bed for my 10 year old son. He loves it and we don't see the unmade bed anymore! It was bigger than I thought it would be -- be aware that you will need a full size mattress for this bed. As other reviewers have noted, this bed has large stickers on it that will not come off -- they are ugly and I would have preferred that they were on the back or bottom of the bed or made to be removed easily.

Two LARGE boxes were intimidating, but once it was unpacked, each piece was manageable. Took two adults to put the bed on the legs, but after that one person can do the rest. Directions were easy and clear (if you mark what the screws are [i.e. G, H, I] before trying to put it together). My son loves it!!!! I was surprised that it said to have only one person sleep on it at a time -- this is a full-sized bed. It's very sturdy.

I bought this loft bed for my 15-year old stepson to use when he visits. He absolutely loves it. It gives him a sense of his own space even though it's in the living room. Just bought this bed for my 11 year old daughter. She loves it! I like the look and it really saves space. We were able to put a fairly large dresser under the bed and there was still plenty of room for the built in desk. If you have a larger desktop computer it might not fit comfortably on the desktop, due to the attached bookshelves. We removed one of the shelves to make everything fit. As for the assembly, my two teen/preteen daughters and I assembled it ourselves, but the pieces are heavy and it takes some muscle to do this job properly. Also, it was not clearly marked which way to orient some of the pieces. As a consequence we assembled a major part of the frame backward and did not realize the mistake until it came time to attach the shelves. Arggghhh! We has to disassemble the entire thing and start over. Also, some of the large screws were very difficult to thread properly and the provided Allen wrench was cheaply made and inadequate to the job. However, overall we are very happy with the bed and I would recommend it to others.

Sturdy construction. Structural Metal components screw together from two opposite directions adding strength. Mattress frame is welded metal tubing instead of wood slats which increases the stability. Desk is sturdy material which adds more strength. bed took a longer time to get here but worth the wait.

This took about an hour to assemble, but it was not difficult. My 16 year-old-son scored this and he is very happy. As mentioned above, the metal stairs/guards are hard on feet and shins. As for the stickers, we are going to try using a hair dryer to heat them off and remove...we'll see if that works!

Great quality!

All positives except these minor items:

- Those regulatory stickers!!! There are two. They are ugly so they must be removed. They do not come off very easily leaving behind glue which is difficult to remove. Notice that the sales picture doesn't show them.

- Initial part of assembly requires two people with some strength. It is easy to scratch during the initial part of assembly. (Touch-up paint is supplied.)

- If you have a normal ceiling height the person cannot fully sit up in bed. The person using this bed should probably not be claustrophobic. My son loves it though - kind of like sleeping in a cave.

I didn't have much expectation for my loft bed, and when it arrived, I was rather (happily) surprised. It's very sturdy, which is important as I use it for my bed in a small room. The desk is amazing, spacious and perfect and then some for what I need. The only issue I have with it is that the steps to get up to the loft hurt depending on how you step on them. That's metal for you, though, and it could easily be taken care of so that wasn't a problem. Very happy with my purchase!

I have 2 kids sharing the desk and used a stool w/ rollers that could be used if they both were using this area.

one draw back i wish there was a small opening where the ladder goes so kids could get over railing easier( opening not so big that they could fall just eough to get knees on mattress).

Exellent bed. My 11 year old son loves it and he has found a wonderful place to read above in the bed and to do his school work underneath.

Bed is well made, and pieces are heavy. Most will need two people to assemble. overall quality is excellent -- scew holes exactly where they should be. Some welding of the pieces could be neater and more thorough, but certainly seem sufficient to carry the load.

Very pleased.

This bed works even if you have regular 8' ceilings (like we do). My daughter, who is almost 5'7", can easily get at the desk area underneath - which seems huge!! (And there is also a shelf above the desk.) There is room to sit up in bed. It's modern, easy to assemble, and feels very sturdy.
